It is officially my favorite month of the year to be a Phoenician — March. Thousands of people travel from all over the country and world to visit Phoenix this time of year, but we are spoiled rotten and get to enjoy the beauties of the city each and every day. One of the most popular things going on in the Valley in March is SPRING TRAINING. I like baseball and all, but I’m by no means a die-hard fan. That being said, I {love} me some Spring Training. What’s better than sunshine, baseball, beer, family and friends? There are games all over the city so break out the sunscreen and enjoy a game…or two! Click here for more information.
Be sure to check our our calendar of events page for lots of new and exciting events for the month of March!
If you are looking for an amazing event to do with the family- you must check out the Scottsdale Arts Festival! This year the event runs on March 9th, 10th and 11th. Located at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts, the event runs Friday and Saturday from 10:00am -6:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am -5:00pm. Even if you are not an art buff, or not even close, this event is a great way to spend a couple of hours on the weekend. There are live bands and entertainment throughout the day as well as dee-licious food! Having been myself the past couple of years, and not knowing a piece of art from a piece of pizza, I can say it is definitely worth it just to get out, enjoy the weather, the people-watching and mostly the food
Best part of the deal – kids under the age of 12 are always FREE! Click here for more info on their website!
Personally, I am getting super excited for the new theatrical release of The Lorax, which coincidentally comes out on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2nd! To get ready for the big release we wanted to give you all some fun things to do with your kids to get into the Seussical spirit. If you haven’t done so before, check out the Seussville University which provides teachers and parents awesome activities for kids of all ages. It is also a fun interactive site for those kids who want to stare at your iPad all day!
And for an easy peasy way to get that Seuessical Spirit flowing… here are some fun Seussical printables for the kiddos:
