Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

In honor of Dr. Seuss’ March 2nd birthday, I’ve come up with a Top 10 list of my favorite Seuss quotes.  Here we go…

10.  I meant what I said, and I said what I meant. An elephant’s faithful one hundred percent.
9. From there to here, from here to there. Funny things are everywhere.
8. Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the think you can think up if only you try!
7. Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.
6. You’re in pretty good shape for the shape you are in.
5. You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so . . . get on your way!
4. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go..
3.  A person’s a person, no matter how small.

2. The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go!

1. Today you are you. That is truer than true. There is no one alive who is you-er than you.

Have a Seussical Week!

Personally, I am getting super excited for the new theatrical release of The Lorax, which coincidentally comes out on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2nd!  To get ready for the big release we wanted to give you all some fun things to do with your kids to get  into the Seussical spirit.  If you haven’t done so before, check out the Seussville University  which provides teachers and parents awesome activities for kids of all ages.  It is also a fun interactive site for those kids who want to stare at your iPad all day!

And for an easy peasy way to get that Seuessical Spirit flowing… here are some fun Seussical printables for the kiddos:
